Massachusetts ArtWeek is being held this year from Friday, April 26 through Sunday, May 5, and the Eastham Painters Guild is thrilled to be part of this statewide celebration of art.
So what are we going to do? Our theme is “Living in a Postcard” and features two public — and free — events.
First, on Tuesday, April 30 from 9 to 11 a.m., artists from the guild will set up our easels at Nauset Lighthouse to paint outdoors, known as en plein air. And you are welcome to paint alongside or just watch as we do our interpretations of one of the Cape’s most iconic lighthouses.
Our second event begins just two days later, on Thursday, May 2: A month-long special art exhibit with works that have the theme “Living in a Postcard.” It will be at the Eastham Public Library; please join us that day for an opening reception from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
More details on this exhibit to come.
